On 31 October 2025, we announce the first call for applications for long-term research internships at CIVICA universities. The deadline for submitting applications is 1 December 2025. The internships should be completed by the end of August 2026, with preference given to those that are scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2026. The second call for applications will be announced after the first call has been decided. Details can be found in the call announcement and the regulations of the internships (in Polish).
The proposed form of support is long-term internships - stays aimed at acquiring the competences needed to carry out or initiate research work (both in terms of methodology and design) at CIVICA universities, lasting up to 90 days. The internship participant will be required to produce at least one article for publication in a reputable international journal or to prepare and submit a grant proposal to an international programme.
The target group is academic teachers at SGH. Recruitment will be carried out in two editions, in each of which we assume the selection of three individuals to be supported. Interested persons would have to be confirmed in advance by CIVICA partners.
The internship trips will be at the same time a form of competence enhancement for the persons leaving. For each person selected for an internship, an individual development plan will be defined, corresponding to their research or research plans. The expected outcome of the trip, confirming the acquisition of competences, will be a scientific publication or the submission of an international grant application (e.g. Horizon). Independent of the publishing process or the grant competition process, there will be external reviews of the scientific article or project proposal prepared during the internship (in line with the learning outcomes) and a review of the internship report.
Creating opportunities for SGH academic staff to carry out long-term internships at CIVICA universities fits in with the objectives of the proposed project in the context of strengthening cooperation with CIVICA universities in terms of conducting research and disseminating its results. This will serve to strengthen the position of SGH in the CIVICA alliance, and thus - to strengthen the position of Polish higher education institutions internationally.
