Task 6 - Workshop on double degree programs

The task is based on the organisation of a workshop using the desk research method and focus research to develop feasible solutions for double degree programmes at CIVICA with the participation of SGH. The first stage of preparations for the organisation of the workshop will be a review of internal (SGH) and external (work at the European Commission) legal regulations concerning double degree programmes and an analysis of the experience of the implementation of several bachelor's and master's double degree programmes at SGH in the context of identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to this form of cooperation within CIVICA. The next step will be to send invitations to CIVICA partner universities to participate in a workshop and to organise a workshop with the main purpose of a focus group discussion on the possibility of establishing cooperation in the form of double degree agreement with CIVICA partner universities. This should lead to the selection of a narrower group of universities and specific fields of study within which to start negotiations for the establishment of a double degree agreement.  Taking into account the ongoing work on European Degree regulations at the European Commission, the workshop will discuss the main directions and status of legislative work in this area. The identification of possible cooperation within the CIVICA alliance on double degree programmes and the commencement of work on concluding such agreements with selected HEIs will contribute to the realisation of the overall objective of the project, which is to support further internationalisation of SGH within the CIVICA alliance by developing didactic cooperation with selected partner HEIs, and thus also contribute to improving SGH's position within the CIVICA alliance and strengthening the position of Polish HEIs internationally.

The workshop will be organised in 2026.
